People try many ways to find joy. Pornography, gambling, drugs or alcohol. Perhaps you think your spouse or boyfriend or girlfriend will give you joy. Maybe a big salary or a new car. It won't. Why? Because that isn't why God made you!

You were created to have a relationship with God! Yes, you!

So, now what? How do I have that joy I know I'm missing?

First of all, realize why you do not know God: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Realize the consequences of that fact: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

Realize that God loves you so much, that He let His only Son die in your place, to satisfy those "wages of sin.": "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16)

Understand that GOD WANTS YOU BACK, and has made a way! There was once a jailer who asked: " . . . 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' And they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . . .' " (Acts 16:30-31)

Just pray. “God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died on the cross in my place and rose again to give me life. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your love for me. Amen.”

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no prayer, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it! Yes, that simple!
